Wow Elisa! That is definitely not my idea of a fun birthday! I would love to celebrate you when you feel better.

And I put the 28th on my calendar!!!

I love all your wishes, some of them are also mine haha! Can't all the good stuff just magically happen?

Love you!

That would be ideal, right, all the good stuff to just happen? Maybe some of it will! You’ll have to give me advice on how much wood I need!

Happy 40th Birthday! I remember 40. I had a 5 y/o. I am going to be 75 in a few days and I am enjoying every day I am here. Chronic illness is a pain for sure and they seem to multiply as you get older. I wish I could join you on the 28th but it's just a little too far for me to drive down and back at that time of day. If it was earlier, I could do it but by then, I am tired. Have fun.

Haha! Well, I guess understand as you are nearly 75 that is might be too much of a trip! Lol. So here is my question for you--do you still young at 74? Or is some of that fading? What advice do you have for the second half of life?

Happy birthday to you! I am sorry you and hubby are sick.

My 40th birthday was the last crappy birthday I suffered with my mentally and verbally abusive ex-husband, who suffers from BPD.

I got up to see gifts and cake mix in a pile on the floor. Ex was already drinking and getting high in the garage. He always insisted that I take my birthday off from work, so he could celebrate with me. It rarely went well, but this was the worst.

I got dressed and left the house. Spent time driving around, eating my fav fast food, got my nails painted, cried, and read a good book.

God freed me and I left for good 5 months later.

Each of the 13 birthdays since then has been infinitely better, although none have been fancy or spectacular. God has blessed me with a new life and a new husband who loves me like I am.

For #50- the family party was small due to C19. I will celebrate my 54th birthday the day before your bonfire! S'mores and the ocean sound like a great way to celebrate.

Good news- we get entirely over ourselves and fully lean on Jesus, who richly provides all we need and He is coming to take us home soon, where there will be no more pain or suffering!

God bless and keep you.

What a testimony! I am so sorry you had to live through that, and it does sound like a terrible 40th! I am even more grateful you’ve found healing. I hope from now on you forever have lovely birthdays, and that next week you feel valuable on yours! Thanks for sharing your story.
